December, 2008 Milton Church Members and Friends, At year-end, it seems appropriate to consider all of our
blessings, especially those we enjoy as members of the Church Family at Milton Church. Many of our accomplishments are directly
related to the efforts of our minister, Reverend Bob Kirkley. But without the attendance and contributions of the congregation,
nothing would be gained. This letter is a reminder of some of the things our Church has accomplished some of which you may
not be aware of, or have not always been obvious. I will not give individual credit to any one, because this is all God’s
work through each of us. • The foundation for everything is Church attendance. In recent years, Milton Church attendance
has grown from about 15 to 60 or more each Sunday. • Milton Church’s Prayer Chain, and Healing Services conducted
by our Minister, have had a very high success rate for helping those who need healing. • Sunday Social Time, made possible
by many generous volunteers (and good cooks) has made everyone’s Sunday morning more pleasant, and added greatly to
the quality of our fellowship. • A Nursery and Sunday school was started in 2008 after many years with no children’s
programs. This is vital to our future, and helps enable young families to attend church. • The use of the Milton Social
Hall by others in the community has increased. Beginning in 2009, it will be the meeting place of a Christian Mothers’
group (MOPS). It is freely offered for family, church, and community functions. • The Milton Church Rainbows’
outreach to the needy has greatly increased due to the generosity of money and time by our congregation. Help is offered at
times of sickness, death, and general need, as well as cards to members in recognition of their birthdays. • We have
made many improvements to our property, and are currently planning to add a handicapped accessible rest room. Expansion of
the Church building may be in the long range plan. • Finally, we attempt to keep everyone informed by use of a weekly
bulletin and by email. At Milton Church, we see first-hand “what wonderful works the Lord has done”!
